Design:

The Blackpoint holster we picked up is a model for the Glock 19 with the Surefire XC1 weapon light. When looking at it, you’d think it’s not very different from many other IWB holsters that have two clips, one on each side. The devil however, is in the details. The reason people go for Blackpoint holsters is for the quality in the details and finish. The Molding on the inside of the holster is greatly detailed, which allows for a very smooth drawing and holstering of the gun as well as a good positive click that lets you know when your gun is properly seated. On both the front and back section of the holster, there are plastic belt clips (possible to change for metal). The front clip has three possible adjustable heights and the back has two, for personalizing seating and cant on the belt. The clips themselves hang really well and tough onto the belt, and can be left there even when not worn. While plastic clips tend to break, this specific model has been used both operationally and privately for 2 years now, and its clips are still going strong. But this is something to keep in mind. What sets this holster apart, is the connection between the clips and the holster, the leather wings. Basically, what connects them, are two small patches of soft high quality leather that bends really nicely and contours perfectly around your body. This leads to this holster being supremely comfortable. In addition it conceals really well and barely prints. The logo is engraved on the back.

Blackpoint holsters were some of the first kydex holsters sold and used in Israel. They have been rigorously tested and used by top Israeli Special Forces in Israel and have seen use everywhere both in the Military and LEO as well as in Government security forces (Shabak, Secret Service equivalent)and by private citizens.

Material:

The Kydex used in blackpoint holsters is top notch, and they use thread locker to avoid the screws loosening over time. The leather is really high quality. Even after years of operational use, the leather isn’t frayed whatsoever and has no cracks nor any other damage which attests to the high leather quality. The one thing we’ve noticed is a little rust accumulating on the screws after years of use, but nothing that a little oil couldn’t fix. We’ve been in-house in their facilities and have seen how all their products are personally customized and hand-made with high regard to detail and quality control.

Comfort:

Wearing the Mini WING is a breeze. About 60 seconds after putting it on, you just forget it’s there. Thanks to the really flexible leather wings that allow the holster to hug your body, you get a product that is almost too good. We found ourselves feeling back, just to make sure the gun was still there because you barely feel it’s there. You can wear the holster for hours, both standing and sitting and even while running. It stays comfortable under every circumstance. The holster is most comfortable at the 4 o’clock position and pretty comfortably in appendix and small of back but you can tell it wasn’t built for that.

Versatility:

The holster was designed to wear at the 4 or 5 o’clock position, but can also be comfortably worn as an appendix holster or in the small of the back, though you will feel the difference when seated as it was not built for it. The adjustable cant offers several canting options for users who like to roll with that. The holster will also work with the Glock 23 and 32, as well as any similar guns that you may have, though they may not have the positive click.

Interesting fact: This holster specifically was used while intervening in a major terrorist attack in Tel Aviv last year.

The holster is available in over 38 colors and they’re one of the only companies to offer almost every gun, with almost every type of gun light. The price for the holster runs around $99. For this amount of dedication and custom handmade holster work though and the top-notch materials used, this is definitely worth the money.
